Wheeler Accessories Ltd. is a family-owned business that has been serving users of specialized field gear for over 25 years.

CPGear, our military division, was started by Mark Wheeler back in 1983 while he was stationed at CFB Lahr, Germany. The lack of practical and rugged field kit spurred him into designing products for his own use. This lead to producing military gear for fellow soldiers and then into a part-time business, using the highest quality materials available and employing local German sewers.

After leaving the Forces in 1985, the Wheelers relocated to New Brunswick, Canada.  They established their factory in Fredericton, a 10 min drive from CFB Gagetown, Oromocto. This is where a good portion of the Combat Arms training takes place in Canada.   This close proximity to the Training Base has ensured a constant input of fresh ideas from experienced soldiers visiting the Factory Store.   In August 2010, a second CPGear retail outlet ("CPGear Tactical") was opened in the Oromocto Mall.

All production, from design to finished product, is done locally. That includes embroidery and custom services. About 70% of total sales volume comes from our own CPGear brand. Remaining sales are from premium brand-name merchandise which we carry as a direct result of customers requests. We have had a lot of good advice from customers over the years and sincerely appreciate it.

Our reputation is based on three principles:

• Honesty... there's nothing hidden here, our CPGear Brand products are Canadian design and Canadian made. We use the best quality materials we can find and make our products as durable as possible - no cutting corners. Essentially we strive to make a product that you want to buy and that will sell itself. We don't have people on commission trying to sell you something you don't want or don't need.
• Customer Satisfaction... we believe in treating our customers in a personable manner. Nowadays we converse with most of our customers through email or by phone. But that doesn't stop us from treating those customers in an "over-the-counter fashion", regardless of where they are located. You'll get a "live"  person whenever you call during Store Hours! All our CPGear brand products come with a 5 Year Guarantee against defects in material or workmanship. As well, any product purchased can be returned for full refund (except for damaged or personalized items).
• We Listen... a lot! Here at CPGear, we strive to make our products a true reflection of what our customers ask for. We pride ourselves on being able to flex with the needs of our users on practically a daily basis. Every day, between 10 and 11am, managers from our Design, Purchasing, Military Development and Shipping Departments meet to discuss production priorities, customer requests (including product mods), new and upcoming designs.
